CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

Last year I had a string of activities occurring. I was in the middle of my MBA program, commencing the business, Sugar Bear Properties, LLC and enrolled in a two-month mandatory refresher academy hundreds of miles from home. I’ve always felt I was capable of making wise decisions, by structuring my life to accommodate the woes and blissful moments which humanity experience. I became stagnant, and obscured; doubt and fear became overwhelming; I stop believing in myself, and accepted my discrepancies as who I was. This feeling became unacceptable, and I choose to make changes.

Requiring a coach for redirection and positive reinforcement I solicited the coaching of Edward Kim, and it has been the best business decision I’ve made. His integrity and leadership give me a sense of security. I’m able to respond positively and perform my best. Within the past year, I have accomplished what I thought would be impossible, maintaining a 3.7 GPA, while completing my MBA degree in eighteen months. Opening a successful property business, being promoted to a management position and becoming a leader within my organization. I attribute these achievements to the diligence of Edward’s coaching and passion. His mission has been extraordinary, and as a result, I have become the person who I am today.

I am grateful for Edward, and I couldn’t have succeeded without him. Initially, I didn’t believe in coaching or having a mentor until I sought Edward Kim. Edward gave me tools to enhance my career, my business regime and equipped me with the proper protocol needed. Edward’s leadership has developed him to be a phenomenal individual.

Working with Ed has been an incredible experience for me and has been very beneficial in regards to my personal intercultural development. Ed did an amazing job opening my eyes to my own unconscious bias.

He asked me specifically what my goals were and asked questions to determine in how I could improve when interacting with people that are culturally different from myself. He mentioned things and brought forward perspectives that I had never thought about and really pushed me to reflect on how I think when interacting with others different from myself. He helped me identify both strengths and weaknesses in the way I thought about other’s perspectives.

Through working with Ed, I was able to identify a starting point, an end goal, and a clear way to grow. He helped me consider different perspectives that are crucial to think about, and encouraged me to take steps to ensure I am able to move forward along the intercultural development continuum and ultimately make it to my end goal.

We can’t say enough good things about our work with Measured Leadership. Working on a diverse college campus, multicultural competency has been a significant part of our professional development for years at the Health Service.

What appealed to us about going through the Intercultural Diversity Inventory (IDI) with Ed Kim and Vincent Mack was that there were three levels of feedback. Most diversity trainings provide education/information. In addition to that the IDI provided specific feedback to each individual, department, and the entire health service about where each was on the IDI development scale and provided tailored recommendations to each individual, department, and the entire organization about specific steps to promote our ongoing development.

Ed and Vincent were excellent facilitators throughout the entire process; they were engaging and created a safe learning environment for self-reflection and growth.

The IDI training took our staff to the next level of awareness and engagement regarding diversity issues and those gains have been sustained in the 2 years since we completed the training. I highly recommend this for your group or organization.

100% of my students said the best thing about it (Intercultural Development Inventory) was talking to you. Seriously. You have a gift for it. Male students connected to you, people of color felt like you actually understood, women felt comfortable with you, a white student said that she didn’t feel judged...it’s a gift.

Ed Kim’s servant leadership training was inspiring and motivational. As a co-participant stated “it was what our organization truly needed.” The information was accessible and directly applied to our context. It provided a framework and platform for continuing work which has greatly improved our approach to leadership.

I just wanted to say thank you for the IDI brief. I think its safe to say I learnt a LOT about myself in just 45 minutes. Its definitely given me something to chew on as I think about how I navigate the rest of my time in university (and hopefully banking - fingers crossed lol). I can’t thank you enough for this conversation!
