MEET EDWARD KIM
My Story - The Rise of the Underdog
Having grown up in New Jersey, I have always been an avid New York sports fan. As a kid playing in little league, I dreamt of being a shortstop for the New York Mets. My grand dream was shattered when I was told, at the young age of 10, to shoot for something more realistic instead.
I have felt the power of words and negative self beliefs and their influence on decisions made and confidence lost. My personal journey in finding my self again and learning to let it lead has led me here to Measured Leadership.
Learning to take responsibility for my life, both personally and professionally, uncovered my own ability to make change and not be a bystander to my own life but rather an active participant. This changed everything for me. I adjusted my habits to take leadership over my own life. I am passionate about “paying it forward” and being a servant leader to help people better lead in their own lives and the teams they lead by first leading themselves.
My coaching philosophy is based on the ideas of servant leadership and Richard Schwartz’s Internal Family Systems models. I believe that our respective sense of self is accessible for everyone, and when embodied, knows how to be an effective leader by nature.
